Through The Lens – Dragonfly Portrait Studio – With Veronica Coate
Veronica is a Washington State Native, but relocated to Maryland in 2013 with her husband Bryan, where they began their family by welcoming their son, Reilly.
Veronica’s photography career began after several years of involvement with the US Military, in both the Navy and the Air Force.
After nearly a year, she realized that her true passion was photography and creating works of photo art and memories. Veronica never looked back, put in her two-weekes-notice, enrolled and graduated in 2010 with an A.A.S. in Photography, and again in 2012 with an A.A.S. in Business Management from Spokane Falls Community College.
Friends describe Veronica as “an intensely passionate person and woman with a purpose”. Driven is an understatement in the goals she strives to accomplish in her life. She has been published in several magazines with a cover for PRIME Magazine, and Spokane Coeur D’ Alene Living Magazine and was a staff photographer for NW Woman Magazine for several years before moving to Maryland.
Veronica believes that volunteer work is vital to building community relations and despite her demanding schedule, continually pledges her time and talent. She has done work for the YWCA, Community College of Spokane, Spokane International Film Festival, Lewis and Clark Tigers, Make-A-Wish, and Craig T. Nelson VIP Golf Charity Events.
After taking three years off to care full-time for their son, Reilly, Veronica has moved from event and fashion, into newborn and child portraiture. Previously known as Fossa Studio Photography, the studio is now officially Dragonfly Portrait Studio and is located in the suburbs between Baltimore and Annapolis, Maryland.
